Objective of Meeting

The goal of the meeting was to discuss the main topics that matter to the Forum and to follow up on the activities from the different working groups. Also, to make important decisions about the review process and next steps for the release of the next version of the standard which is currently in Company Review.

Summary

The following topics were covered in the meeting:

  • ArchiMate Coronado Project: This is the new version of the standard. The roadmap and status were presented and some discussion was held about the launch event planned for April in London. The working plan was also discussed and the main activities identified.
  • ArchiMate Exchange File Format: This is the planned roadmap and next steps to improve the standard. The roadmap and updates are aligned with the release of the new version of the standard to comply with the new features. Also, the Tools certification program needs to be strengthened through the Exchange File Format.
  • Capability-Based Planning White Paper: This is a joint activity between the Architecture and ArchiMate Forums. The roadmap and approach for the project was presented.
  • Update on the UML Profile for ArchiMate and the MOF Development by the OMG
  • The liaison representative presented a high-level report. It was agreed to follow up on the MOF development made by the Forum once the draft is more stable.
  • Update on the Certification Numbers and Members' Activity Statistics
  • Forum Marketing Activities: The marketing plan was explained.
  • Overview of the Forum Survey Results
  • IT4IT™ Models in ArchiMate Migrated to Other Tools
  • Invited Experts in the ArchiMate Coronado Review: The general agreement was to invite Gerben Wierda as an invited expert on the Coronado review.

Outputs

Detailed meeting minutes and the list of consent items and open actions to support the current activities and key decisions about the ArchiMate Coronado review and process.

Next Steps

  • Take the proper actions for the Coronado draft once the Company Review as ended
  • Update the working plan for the release of the new version
  • Take actions to improve member participation and market awareness about the standard usage
  • Support the current activities in place
  • Follow up on the consent items and open actions
