IT4IT™ Forum: Strategy to Portfolio Work Group

Objective of Meeting
The objective of this session was to provide a quick read-out on the state of the Strategy to Portfolio (S2P) Work Group.
Summary
The session was led by the IT4IT Forum Vice Chair Mark Bodman of ServiceNow on behalf of Work Group Chair Jeannine McConnell of ServiceNow. The S2P Work Group is just getting started and recently succeeded in recruiting and getting a number of Invited Experts approved by The Open Group to contribute to this Work Group through September 2018. The objective is to produce up to three Guidance documents and a list of proposals for changing the IT4IT standard to better represent modern ways of managing the business to IT portfolio and do portfolio or product management.
Outputs
Session participants left informed about the contributors and their plans for delivering new guidance for and/or proposals for updates to the IT4IT S2P value stream.
Next Steps
In May 2018, the Work Group Chair will host the first meeting since the Invited Experts were approved and get started on the deliverables.
