  • Tuesday (April 20): 2:00 – 4:45
  • Wednesday (April 21): 9:00 – 12:30 and 2:00 – 5:30

Objective of Meetings

The Open Group Healthcare Forum (HCF) published a Snapshot on the Healthcare Enterprise Reference Architecture (HERA) one week before the London event. The objective of the meetings in London was solely focused on reviewing and revising the Snapshot.

Summary

Members revised approximately the first half of the Snapshot. Much of the discussion beginning Wednesday delved into broader issues, such as whether the Snapshot introduces a metamodel or a reference architecture per se, whether the terminology at Levels 2 and 3 are correct, whether there is a significant difference between "architecture" and "architecting" and, if so, how we would use this distinction to revise the Snapshot; and whether the Snapshot is limited to services per se.

Outputs

A revised draft of the HERA Snapshot (not complete).

Next Steps

Each of the questions taken up during the meetings (esp. Wednesday and Thursday) will be addressed in the Forum calls, beginning April 26.
